Dear Sir I am planning to set up a small scale homely food production and delivery. What I should do to avail assistance through pmegp scheme? I am also confused about getting commercial license for a home based set up like this.

    1. Surendra NaikSurendra Naik - Post author

You can apply through online for PMEGP loan. I'm not sure about the formalities required for home made products.Perhaps you need to get in touch with the local municipality to know more about state-specific licenses required. Further, you may have to contact the local Health Department for specific regulations, certifications, licenses, and insurance information in one’s area. The Health Department also usually requires an inspection of the area to be used for the kitchen or for catering business.Couple of licenses / permissions you need, it may vary from state to state in respect of License from Food & Health Department (FSSAI License). Trade license. Fire brigade. Police Society’s NOC

    1. Surendra NaikSurendra Naik - Post author

Don't believe these agents. Sanction will be sent directly to the bank (that you have opted for) under intimation to you. Whenever you have doubts, directly contact the DIC and get clarification from them.

Hello I am planning to open optical shop and am schedule caste guy..which scheme should I go it's better pmegp or nscfdc (nationational schedule caste financial development corporation) I need 5lack???which scheme processes will be Fast?? ??? Plz suggest me

    1. Surendra NaikSurendra Naik - Post author

optical shop is not in the list of activities/ The optical shop is not appearing in the list of activities/schemes of NSCFDC. In case of loans under NSCFDC Annual family income of the beneficiary(ies) should not exceed Double the Poverty Line (DPL) income limit (presently Rs.98000/-p.a for rural area and Rs.120000/- p.a for urban area. Subsidy of maximum Rs.10000 is available to rural women beneficiaries. No income limit is fixed for PMEGP loan. A SC member gets 35% subsidy in rural/SU areas and in Urban area he is eligible for 25%. Though interest rate is slightly cheaper in NSCFDC scheme but you don't get subsidy. I presume loan under PMEGP is faster.

    2. Surendra NaikSurendra Naik - Post author

Optical shop is not appearing in the list of NSCFDC. More over maximum subsidy of 10,000/- available to women beneficiaries. The borrower's income shall be less than Rs.90000/- and 120000/- in urban area. In PMEGP no income restrction. A SC member is eligible for 35% subsidy in rural area and 25% subsidy in urban area. Better to go for PMEGP loan.

    1. Surendra NaikSurendra Naik - Post author

I don't understand why people ask this type of queries with me.How can you pay money and records to unknown people when you can directly get the loan sanctioned through online without charging any fees. Documents if any required to the bank should be submitted only to the bank.

As per KVIC guidelines all the 27 Public Sector Banks are lending under PMEGP scheme. Besides Public sector banks, other financial institutions like all Regional Rural Banks, Co-operative Banks approved by State Level Task Force Committee headed by Principal Secretary (Industries)/Commissioner (Industries), Private Sector Scheduled Commercial Banks approved by State Level Task Force Committee headed by Principal Secretary (Industries)/Commissioner (Industries) and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) are lending under PMEGP.

Sir I submitted the proposal for my big sound machine manufacturing and assembling under PMEGP and my proposal is approved under that scheme but when it comes to banking procedure the bank is asking for mortgage so is it mandatory or not so please guide further.

    1. Surendra NaikSurendra Naik - Post author

It depends upon loan amount. As per RBI guidelines, up to Rs.10 lakh no collateral security to be insisted. If you are ready to avail CGTMSE guarantee cover for the loan, you may discuss the same with the Manager.

Dear Sir, Thank you for this nice info. I'm looking to start a software development firm. It will mainly be a service company where we provide software development services to clients both within and outside India. Will I be able to apply for PMEGP? Another questions is how will I decide which sponsoring agency to choose? Whats the difference? Any specific conditions on how to calculate Capital expenditure and Working capital? Do I have to discuss with the bank before applying?

    1. Surendra NaikSurendra Naik - Post author

Ultimately the Bank will appraise the projects and take their own credit decision on the basis of viability of each project. The decission of the bank to either to sanction or decline is final. It is better to talk to the Bank Manager before applying for PMEGP loan.

        1. Surendra NaikSurendra Naik - Post author

You need not worry about implementing agencies. Apply for loan online at KVIC portal. DLTFC will process your application and forward the preapproval of application to you and the bank opted by you.

Dear sir, Is there a third party agency called "Trading Finance" helping out people for the PMEGP scheme? I had applied for the Loan and recently I got a call from the department for verification. And they said that the verification got doubtfull so I have to deposit 10% of the total loan amount as a collateral which will be refunded with the Loan Amount when the RTGS is done. I have also received an Approval letter signed by Asst. Director of KVIC, Delhi dated 30-01-2018 with ref.: PMEGP/DKYC/DO/2017-2018/1102244 along with the Collateral Letter stating that I have to deposit the collateral amount which is signed by the asst director of Delhi KVIC board too. I would like to know whether this is a valid procedure for the sanction of the loan or is it a fraud?

    1. Surendra NaikSurendra Naik - Post author

It's a scam. KVIC in its official website clarified that 27 Public Sector Banks ,Regional Rural Banks(RRB), Co-operative Banks and Private Scheduled Commercial Banks approved by respective State Task Force Committee are the financial agencies connected to PMEGP scheme. They have also warned public that people who are dealing with third party agencies at their own risk.

You need not meet any one. If possible, contact the Bank Manager and inform him of your intention to borrow under PMEGP scheme, so that there will not be any problem in sanctioning the loan by the bank.

If the manager is not ready to sanction the loan, it is advisable to go to another bank who is ready to sanction. If no bank is ready to sanction loan under the scheme, you may report the same to Ministry of MSME, Government of India and Director of KVIC.
