Confirmed DA for Bank employees and pensioners from February 2017

The confirmed Dearness Allowance (DA) payable to employees/Officers is 469 slabs for February 2017, March 2017 and April 2017.  It means a decrease of 9 slabs over the current level for working staff and increase of 14 slabs for Pensioners.

In terms of confirmed CPI for October 2016 =(6345.60), November 2016 (6322.77) and December 2016 (6277.12 ). The average index is 6315 is converted into  469 slabs. Thus, the percentage of DA payable to employees/Officers for the months of February 2017, March 2017, and April 2017 will be @ 46.90% on ‘pay’ (which includes allowances eligible for DA).

The percentage of increase in Pensioner’s Dearness relief is 1.40%. The Pensioners dearness relief is revised once in 6 months. Next revision of Dearness relief for pensioners will be from August 2017.
